About Chapter

The South Central Indiana Chapter of the IMA has a very strong and proud history of accomplishments dating back to our inception in 1966.  In addition to many achievements and recognition from the global IMA organization, our chapter has been awarded the IMA’s prestigious “Chair’s Award” seven times, the honor given out annually to the top global chapter with the highest level of performance over a five-year period.   We have a strong tradition of engaged board members and leadership from past Presidents and have had the privilege of several chapter members serving on the IMA global board of directors as well as on the regional council leadership team.

Our chapter conducts monthly meetings in the form of technical education luncheons where we bring in featured speakers and presenters that earn our members and attendees one hour of continued professional education (CPE).  We also host two all-day technical sessions, one in the fall and one in the spring where 8 hours of CPE are offered to our members and guests. These monthly sessions are typically held on the third Thursday of each month, with our board meetings occurring around the same part of that week.

Other activities our chapter is involved in include:

     - Co-hosting (with Cummins Inc.) monthly Financial Management Network (FMN) educational sessions which provide 4 hours of CPE

     - Support for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program, including discounts on training and study material

     - Philanthropic and community involvement support
