President's Message

January 26, 2018

Greetings IMA Members,

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and have managed to stick to their resolutions so far.  The first month is always the most difficult - keep it up!

Speaking of New Year’s resolutions, this is a good time to mention our Chapter’s resolution for 2018.  Although we will not fully implement this change until the following IMA year (which begins in July), I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention as soon as possible.  After careful consideration, our chapter has decided that we will begin accepting payments at our events only in the forms of credit card and checks.  We hope that this will not affect too many of our members, but if there are concerns over this change, please feel free to reach out to us.  Again, this change will not take full effect until July, but I hope that by mentioning this now it will help prepare you all for the change – we will be sure to send a reminder with each future event’s communication.

And speaking of future events, I am happy to announce that the South Central Indiana Chapter will be hosting another all-day Microsoft Excel training session on March 22!  Wayne Winston will be joining us at Harrison Lake Country Club so be sure to save the date now.  As we continue planning the event, we would like to hear about what Excel topics, tips, and tricks would interest you the most.  Please take a few minutes to share your comments with us by completing this Google Form. You can also access the Google Form via our Facebook page or on our Twitter, or you can leave your comments on our IMA discussion board.

As always, you can find a listing of our current board in this newsletter and on our website (http://scic.imanet.org/home).  If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors or would like to nominate someone else, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the board members directly or via our chapter email at imascic@gmail.com.  We are all more than happy to share our experiences and discuss future opportunities!
